BC within grasp of meeting all time employment high

2000 jobs need to be filled.
10/6/2010BC is a couple thousand jobs away from breaking the employment record.

Finance Minister, Colin Hansen says 2000 jobs need to be filled to meet the all time high, of 2 million 323-thousand people employed, set in August 2008.

Hansen says when the labour force stats come out later this week, the province could be in new record territory.
 "I predict that it won't be that long before we're back in an environment of labour shortages like we were 3 or 4 years ago."

Hansen points out  the current unemployment rate in BC, at 7.3, is lower than the Canada as a whole, which stands at 8.1.
